Gamer Hijacks Airport Screen To Play PS4 Game ‘Apex Legends’

At Portland International Airport, a young man, bored out of his mind, found a unique way to entertain himself while waiting for his flight. He decided to kill his boredom by plugging his PS4 console into an Airport Information monitor. Apparently, he couldn’t wait any longer to play his favorite game, Apex Legends.

KXL, a local radio station, reports that the airport monitor in question was installed to display the airport map to visitors. However, the gaming enthusiast managed to find another use for it. The local emergency scanner reported the event as “hijacking” of the display.

The airport security “very kindly” asked the man to unplug his PS4 console from the monitor so that the monitor could serve its real purpose. Upon being asked to leave the monitor, the man requested the security to let him finish his game. That’s maybe because the man was about to win his round.

However, his request was “politely” denied by the security officials, and the man sadly packed the PS4 back in his bag.

“That’s obviously something that we don’t want to have happened because travelers need the information that we are putting on the screens for them,” said a spokesperson for the Port of Portland. “Power outlets for charging your phones? Absolutely. But not any other screens or monitor,” she said.
