Call of Duty: Mobile is one of those battle royale games that grabbed millions of viewers within a short time. Also, ‘Call of Duty’ is a big name, so people went for it with a lot of expectations. And for most parts, expectations of Call of Duty fans were fulfilled.
There are a lot of good things about Call of Duty: Mobile that sets it apart from other battle royale games. For instance, when you compare COD Mobile with PUBG Mobile, you would find that the gameplay of Call of Duty is much faster. Also, COD is more action-packed, as you have to make use of those operator skills to win a fight.
That being said, in my opinion, there are few Call of Duty: Mobile issues that bugs me to the core. And some of those issues are so irritating that sometimes I want to quit the game. In this article, I am going to discuss everything that is wrong with Call of Duty: mobile.
Issues With Call of Duty: Mobile
1. Echo Problem In Voice Chat
It is one of the primary Call of Duty Mobile issues why I sometimes think of quitting the game.
If I am playing a match with my friends, then mostly, all of us have to turn off our mic. That is because if we say something on voice chat, then our voices echo to an extent where one can get a migraine. Not to mention that the echo buries the in-game sounds like the enemy’s footsteps too.
Now, this is something that happens almost in every match. I tried looking for any possible solution for this issue, but I couldn’t find any. Some people addressed this problem and stated that it has to do something with the smartphone you are using. However, I don’t think that’s the case.
Also, the problem gets worse when there are more players are in the lobby. For instance, the echo problem isn’t much when there are two players in the lobby. However, it starts echoing a bit with three players and goes completely crazy when 4th player is added in the lobby. This further proves that it is a technical issue on COD’s end.
In my opinion, this is a technical issue that Call of Duty: Mobile has ignored for quite a while. Even if it has to do something with smartphones or the internet connection, COD: Mobile should officially address the problem and release an update to solve it.
For now, you can resort to a temporary solution: use Discord for voice chat in the background and turn off the in-game mic and speaker.
2. Vehicle Mechanism Is Way Too Unrealistic
As I’ve previously said, the gameplay of Call of Duty: Mobile is full of action. You don’t fall off and die when you jump off a cliff. Instead, you have a wingsuit that launches as soon as you drop from a height.
Now, I don’t mind wingsuit and some battle royale classes, like Trickster, being a little bit over the top. However, when it comes to the mechanism of vehicles in Call of Duty: Mobile, things get strangely funny and way too unrealistic, especially with the motorbike.
For instance, if you ride a motorbike alongside a cliff, there is a 99% chance that you won’t fall off. The bike defies gravity and runs along the edges where there is barely any space even for the tires’ thickness. That’s the reason why you can use the motorbike to climb a mountain without falling off like it has magnetic tires, which is a bit too much for me.
Handling almost every vehicle is way too complicated when you compare it to PUBG. Sure, there are more vehicle choices in COD: Mobile than PUBG, but there should be an update to improve how the vehicles work in the game.
3. There’s No Variety In Air Drops
In PUBG Mobile, if there’s a drop, then you would find enemies rushing towards it to loot the supplies. Most of the time, there’s a lot you can get from the airdrops. However, the airdrops in Call of Duty: Mobile always have a similar kind of loot.
There’s level 3 jacket, war machine, shotgun, and Arctic.50 [Exotic] Sniper rifle. And in every single airdrop, these are the only supplies you would find. There’s absolutely no variety in drop boxes, which is quite frustrating.
Also, except for the Arctic.50 [Exotic], which now can also be found on the aerial platform, most of the supplies in airdrops are already scattered throughout the map.
For instance, it isn’t that rare to see level three jackets lying around in a house. So, most of the time, people aren’t even motivated to fight for airdrops which makes the game less exciting.
On the other hand, in PUBG Mobile, you can grab a Ghillie suit only via an airdrop. So, there’s at least one motivation to head towards the dropbox which often leads to a confrontation with the enemy. This makes the game a bit more challenging and makes the airdrop loot much more satisfying.
4. Not Picking Up The Dropped Weapon Attachments Automatically
It is something that doesn’t happen quite frequently; however, it is still an issue that needs to be addressed.
In battle royale games like Call of Duty, it’s common for players to swap weapons several times. And when they swap weapons, all the attachments like the heavy mag, 2x scope, quickdraw, etc., drops with the old weapon as well.
Now, most of the time, the operator picks up the dropped attachments automatically. However, a few times, it leaves the attachments as it is on the ground. So, if you were switching the weapons in a hurry, there are chances you’ll leave behind the attachments without even noticing.
Also, this glitch occurs mostly when you swap the weapon from a dead player’s crate. In that case, it fails to auto pick up the attachments, which it usually does when you pick it normally from the floor or a table in a house.
So, Does It Mean Call Of Duty: Mobile Is Not A Good Game?
No, despite all the issues I’ve mentioned in the article, Call of Duty: Mobile is one hell of a game. I even prefer the battle royale version of COD over PUBG Mobile because of its futuristic and fast-paced gameplay. That is the same reason why I want this game to improve by addressing all these issues, especially the one where the voices echo.
What are your reviews about the game? Let me know if you have faced the same issues or maybe others that are not mentioned here.
